PS- Kelly's profile says he is an early enrollee. Is there any chance the staff tries to get back in the fold with him if they're impressed by his senior year performance and try to fill the remaining EE spots available in the 2012 class?

That would be a good idea/option... If he impresses this season and can EE, that would be a good win for us... A position of need, a kid that wants to go to PSU, and an impressive senior campaign... I would be all for it if he impresses.

IMO, I'm sure PSU is very interested in him, but IF PSU nabs a JC transfer for this year's class, which it really needs, that would be three QBs on the roster on scholarship that would have Jr, So and Fr. eligibility. I'm not sure there is room for a 4th with our limitations. You would go after another QB the following year, not next year.

That would put 2 years between Ford and anyone else on the roster if he redshirts. That also gives Ford potentially 3 years of sanction free ball.

The year Ford would enroll would leave us a Sr, Jr, and Fr. (assuming Hack redshirts).

In '14 you have ...
Bench= Jr
Hack=Soph or rFr
Juco= Soph?(not sure on starting eligibility)

He's a sophomore - this is from his team's roster online:
15 Waters, Jake So. 6'2 215 QB Council Bluffs, IA
Essentially if he enrolled be replacing PJ eligibility wise, and if we couldn't get a 4 year EE instead of him then its ok with me.

You can't assume Hack redshirts. If we strike out on getting another QB, he can't redshirt.
