Probably the classiest and most respected person in the Penn State football program...we are lucky to have him.

Through all of the bad that we have been through its coaches like Larry Johnson that still make this a very special program. Our players are cared about as men and not just football players.

During the press conference, when BOB announced Johnson was staying, I said that was the best hire he would make. IMO he is still the best coach on staff although Fitz2 is making a strong push for the top spot.

Agreed ... Lucky to have him. Everyone respects the man, not just the coach.
He isn't perfect (he has brought in some high risk kids that haven't always worked out) but he is a great ambassador for the program. He has helped a lot of kids realize their potential as men and football players.
Glad he feels like Happy Valley is "home".

When LJ and Vandy were announced I actually jumped off my couch and cheered loudly. I was pumped to have them stay on board for many reasons beyond just their coaching prowess. They, especially LJ are father figures to these kids. He is a quality mentor.

LJ is the man!!! Frankly, we have quite a few coaches on our staff now that I would put in that classification! Really glad we were able to keep him and that he's still developing top flight DL talent.
