Nobody can say they took the easy road. I don't think Penn State fans can thank these young men enough for their loyalty to both Bill O'Brien and the university.

Great article which can't even begin to describe the bond the 2013 class has! I can't wait to see what these guys can do on the field too.

It will be interesting when these kids become upperclassmen because it's easy to see this class is full of leaders. Hopefully they can put themselves in position to win the Big Ten as seniors and get back to the Rose Bowl. Would be the story of the century.

I have seen that AB doesnt want to redshirt, but with the carter and James only a year apart from him, am I the only one who thinks for depth reasons in the future to have him RS??

the 2012 class was the same way.. this team should be a tough out in a couple years..

I sure hope Breneman delivers on the field in the way most believe he will. He has a chance to become a true Penn State legend if that happens. His performance before he has even become an official team member has been exemplary enough. It's so much better when the kids seem to be as invested as us crazy fans.

Great article Jeff! This is a special group... we're not only lucky to have them but lucky that this class came along when it did.
I've said it before but this past season was the most fun I've had watching PSU football in a long long time.. and I only see that getting better with this class.

Welcome to the board, lionpride.
Hard to say. Breneman seems to be recovering well from the ACL injury, and with him enrolling early he could make a difference. At the same time, might not be a good idea to push him. I think it really depends on how he progresses in a number of ways - coming back from injury, learning the offense, moving up the depth chart, etc.

Indeed it would be a phenomenal and a well deserved one at that. Hopefully it works out that way.

IMO, if he is healthy and can pick up the offense, you gotta showcase his talents.. As long as BOB is here, PSU will be the premiere school for tight ends, and we should reload at the position..

@PSUBills and Baltlions, I think it's not going to be the easiest of tasks to reload at tight end, but then again no one knew we had the tight ends we have until BoB put them out there, so I suppose the development will be key, I just think its best to have Hack and AB stay in the same class. However, Just like Mauti and Massaro, after one chances go through the roof for another, so I guess well have to wait and see.

By the time they are finished at Penn State, I think we will view these kids in much the same light as this year's amazing group of seniors, with Breneman in the role of MIKE MAUTI.
