Coach "X" Speculation

Let's assume for a minute that the insiders have it right and it is the bid daddy of them all...call him Coach "X". Coach "X" will be brought in to "Restore the Roar". That being said, a week from now when no one has stepped up to the podium, the rumors and speculation is going pick up and go wild about Coach "X". In the meantime, the media will probably be taking shots a PSU for "stealing" away Coach "X" before he plays MNC.
How in the world is this going to play out without it becoming a huge debacle?

It wouldn't surprise me if this insider rumor is another huge smoke screen that carries us into the weekend and allows the true person to hide in the weeds unfound until January 3rd or 4th.

Timing actually makes it look a lot more like him than anybody else. Coaches leave before regular bowl games all the time. They don't leave before a shot at the MNC.
Regardless of the practical likelihood, Saban is one of the more logical predictions at this point.

We do not know for sure when we will announce..all I heard was it will be after the bowl game. My finalists are Saban, Stoops, Richt, and my wildcards are Beamer and Cowher.

I don't really understand the question, but as I said, practically speaking, it's unlikely. Looking at it logically, though, you'll see this:
1. All of our supposed candidates are gone.
2. We haven't named a current member of the staff, so we're not into Plan B world.
3. If these tales of a big name are true, it's not Stoops or someone like him - i.e. someone playing in a meaningless bowl game. As I said, people leave before bowls all the time.
4. What bowl game would a coach be batshit crazy to leave before? MNC.
Logically, then, it makes sense. But, then, a lot of illogical things happen, especially when the BoT is involved.

Pittsburgh paper says it so it must be true? LOL. That is the second or third worst source regarding this search. ESPN being first and the OSU grad writing for the Patriot News is either 2a or 2b.

Big names play in meaningless games all the time. Pretty much any bowl outside the BCS is pretty meaningless. I am not saying it's Stoops, but I don't think we can eliminate him just because he is in the Insight Bowl
