So if the post is that stupid, you are saying a dominant front 4 is well and above Brady, perhaps the best QB to ever play, and any scheme the O coordinator can draw up? End of story?

Dude, if you have watched NE play this year, you would realize that offense is somewhat similar to PSU's recruiting efforts of years gone by. It's playing with a short deck. The offense, which was brought together by the GM and owner, not the OC, has no running game to speak of (BenJarvis Green Ellis wouldn't be the featured back even for a Top 10 college team); doesn't have a legit downfield play maker at WR (sorry neon Deion Branch nor Chad Occhocinco don't qualify). It's a three or four man offense with Brady, two tight ends and Welker. For what they have offensively, its pretty amazing what they come up with to generate offense, even with a HOF QB. give it a rest.

Spulv my man I think I maybe a fan...not because you have very insightful posts ( although you deserve a little more credit ) but because everytime I come into these threads I can alm,ost hear the Booing and see the rotten tomatoes flying and it makes me laugh. Pretty impressive to rile everyone up the way you do especially because I believe its not necessarily your intention.
Anyhow to answer your question. Pete and others are right about the front four disrupting it was Bradlley/Johnson/Paterno's recipe for success or failure depending on what Saturday we are discussing. As far as any sheen you are talking about. These last two games don't mean anything when it comes to Penn St. If you loved O'Brien you still love him. If you hate him you still hate him. If you are excited you are still excited. Apprehensive well you get my point. Recruits don't know the Guy anything short of 50 points in the super bowl wasn't really going to help with that. He coached Tom Brady and a high powered offense either recruits are going to be impressed or they're not. Nothing has changed.

So Brady has not in essense, been shut down the past 2 weeks?
Yes, the Ravens are a good defense, but they were not thier best this year. The Giants were around the same, but great in the playoffs.

Wha??? Tampa had 5 INTs, 3 returned for TDs and the other 2 led to points. Their defense put up like 31 points in that game...lol. Bill Callahan didn't even bother to change Grudens terminology. TBs defense knew every play being called at the LOS. As others mentioned, GBs defense was excellent LY. In fact, their main Achilles heel this yr was caused by the departure of their best DL and injuries to the OL.

With this line of reasoning, PSU should have won multiple championships in the last 10-15 years. Excellent D most years.....
Everyone on the board, as recently as January was saying.....I am sick of the "Defense wins chamionships" mentality, and "nwadays in college football, you have to have a great offense to win." Isnt that why we are so excited for Obrien? I know, everyone wants to refute every word i say.....
While some of these teams did have some decent D's.......you have to have some decent offense as well. I would say the Packers and Saints won more for Rodgers and Brees than they did thier D.
PS- like the cheating too comment. Well done

That was hilarious. And not in the way he thought it was.
