Like the rest of the CFB world, I forgot about Kentucky. Thanks.
I
Lefty: You really think Freeze takes off after one year? Idk about him leaving (Idk if he'll get a spot I'm saying) after one year in Oxford. Mullen I can see getting out of there depending on what opens up.Apparently Butch Jones has talked to Kentucky. CBS reported the other day that an SEC team had contacted Tony Dungy, not that I think he would come back.

Thought I'd say something, literally just got a text from a buddy of mine who is a pretty big booster (family) for Illinois. Very good chance Beckman isn't back next year. The money is the big thing, but if they can get it paid for by donations it looks like he may be gone.

I'm going to say this in the best way possible. The political landscape in Illinois over this hire will be very...interesting. There was a HUGE fight last time over the coach. Sumlin was the number one target and Illinois (foolishly) thought they had him. They then hired Groce for bball. Why is this a big deal? No Illinois head coach in football or basketball has ever been an African-American. And that is a HUGE deal to certain Chicago policy men, both within the University system and outside. After Shaka turned them down in bball it got pretty tense around here. There is a VERY good possibility that this will be a near "requirement" this time around.

So what's the deal with Beckman? I know they sucked this year but they got a new coach and usually you get a little rope to try to turn things and implement your system and guys ect. Is his attitude just wearing thin with the fanbase? I mean everybody on this board already knows he's a dick but are the Illinois fans starting to figure that out? Anyway with a guy like beckman I think it's better to cut bait too soon then to let the guy stick around and turn your program into Colorado. Speaking of Colorado, John Embree should be added to this list. I have no idea why he isn't going to get canned at CU.

Maybe, but for some reason I think a team like Auburn may want to give him another year to cool down. Idk why, and I have no real backing its just a gut feeling. I think Petrino is more likely to Tennessee as they are more "needy". Plus the AU faithful love that Malzahn spread offense, all they can dream of is sCam Newton in it.
