    Eh, it's a clean slate for all of them.

    That being said, he is the least physically gifted of the three, and he hasn't had a chance to rub up on BOB like he did on Joe. I doubt he'll win the QB battle, but he has a decent chance.

    We'll have to see. He'll have the leg up once they review film for this year. PJ may have the most to offer and we'll have to see what type of O he will run. Clean slate, but he isn't blind and I'm sure they'll each get their shot. I just hope we have a true #1 going into August this year. Hopefully he can pick a QB by the end of the spring. Great to be talking football again.

    Jones has a cannon, and he's the biggest size-wise too isn't he? He needs to work on his touch, but hopefully BOB or the new QB coach can work with him. I've always liked Bolden, so hopefully he figures it out.

    My biggest issue with McGloin is that he makes such horrendous decisions, and got away with a lot of them. The gunslinger mentality is great in certain spots, but it drives coaches crazy and can backfire. Practice can't start soon enough though.

    Any chance he'll open up practice for a while?

    And if you think about it....you saw what happened btwn BOB and Brady based on a decision or argument. MM will totally have to change his personality, IMO, if he's going to get through the season with BOB as the quarterback. Just basing it on personalities.

    Agreed.

    One of my first thoughts when I saw he was hired was "if he gets pissed at Brady, wait til he sees McGloin in game action."

    Should make our losses interesting to say the least.

  • That gets hashed out in practice IMO. Don't forget we have a young HC who will be on the sideline and wearing a headset now....the expectations and attitude adjustments will happen prior to them playing a game. If B'OB is a real leader...he'll keep them all in line. If B'OB is all business, the players will follow suit. He also seems to have a passion for the game..."it's an emotional sport" was exactly what he stated during his PC.

  • Bolden's problems are all mental...he needs a psychologist, not a football coach.

    Arm strength, accuracy and mechanics are all fixable...but this kid just doesn't have it between the ears.

    You can't coach instinct and pocket presence...he clearly has none. Time to move on.
