  • will be named coach this week, in my opinion.

    Every other option(or lack there of), has been credibly refuted or proven to be wrong.

    If Bradley's name doesn't come up, and/or charges are dropped, I think Bradley is the guy.

    I don't see how one has anything to do with the other.

    Honestly, I'd put Bradley's chances at 5%. A lot of other options would probably have to fall through first, and that's not even considering the likelihood that Lubert/Joyner don't want the new coaching staff to have any connection to the past regime (even though Paterno supposedly never wanted Bradley to be his replacement).

  • i think we all will be shocked....but I think this is going to happen. He is the only confirmed interview in over a month of a search. He is a good man, a good coordinator and has handled the situation very well. Munchak isnt happening. Peterson and Patterson are not good fits.

    There literally arent many candidates...legit.

    Weather we want to believe it, this isnt going to pan out like we all want it to.

    President says he wants to scale back the football program, PSU completely distancing itself from Paterno and all of its tradition. Bradley would be the one bridge, cheap, humble, not flashy.

  • If we can't get someone like Munchak, I would love to hire Bradley. I think keeping some continuity would be good for the current players and salvaging the recruiting class. I also think Bradley will maintain the academic standards already in place. Obviously the Offensive staff needs to be replaced, but I wouldn't mind having LJ and Vandy as Co-DC.

    That being said, the committee does need to make sure Bradley doesn't have any knowledge of what happened. Don't feed me any of that crap about "he was here, so he had to know!"

    This is really being kept quiet. There have been other interviews - don't kid yourself. Even Joe Schad last night said this is being kept very hush hush.

    Why aren't Peterson or Patterson good fits? Just curious.

    Bradley's name needs to be cleared 100% before he is looked at as a legitimate replacement. And I think the committee sees it that way also, if not, why wait until later this week after the hearings to interview him?

    Maybe this wasn't a big cover-up as everyone seems to think, and charges are dropped on curley and schultz, do we then get more interest in the position?

    I dont think we have heard anything, because they want these hearings out of the way first, to nail down the truth.

    I just feel that after tomorrow, the real search is going to start.

    just my opinion though.

  • I believe Scrap is only being interviewed this week. I don't believe he will be the coach, but I'm sure Joyner wants to give him a fair chance to interview, considering he spent the past 2 weeks recruiting for the program.

  • Not many are commenting about just keeping the D staff in tact, Scrap remains as DC, is this not a possiblility? find a new, creative, offensive minded HC (Peterson IMO). Our D is just fine with Scrap, LJ, Vandy, ill stick with that all day.

    He's a confirmed interview because it was obvious he was going to get one....even just as a courtesy...even if they say it's not just a courtesy. They don't mind confirming this interview because everyone and their grandmother knew he was going to get at least a "shot" at it. He doesn't have any other boss or season going on (NFL) where they want to keep it under wraps while discussing. Other guys do. They have their own current teams right now.
