Sounds like you know something Mtayl as if BoB will bail.

Sounds like you're reading way too far into it in your usual troll way.

Or did you just miss the multiple times I said that I believe BOB will stay?

  • Seems like the severity of the sanctions migt cause BoB to bail thats what i take from all his chatter.

I dont believe BOB is going to leave for a small market NFL team. I think if he leaves it will be for a big market NFL team in a few years.

I might be missing something, but I think that BOB is hugely committed to his family. Perhaps some of you saw his comments last week when some sportswriter asked him about what "worried" him. And he said that the only thing that worries him is his family, especially his son with special needs. Well, I grew up in State College, and I can't imagine BOB moving his family away from Happy Valley and into some large market NFL city like New York, Chicago, Philly, etc. Wow, why would he add that kind of stress to the life of his family when he has all the professional challenge he could want at Penn State AND a nurturing environment for his kids?

That clause was in there if they got sanctioned he would be guaranteed to get paid for twice the years in case they fired him for not being able to win under sanctions. There was a reason that big buyout didn't go the length of the extension as well.

These sanctions, the harshest since the death penalty to SMU, were not what he was expecting to say the least.

Are you his wife? It's clear he understood that sanctions were possible, but you seem to know exactly how bad he thought they might be...if you're not married to him, I'm impressed.

Regardless, he understood there were risks (meaning unknown sanctions or the severity thereof) and still took the job. To say "who could blame him if he left" because they turned out to be severe is pure silliness. It's like the people who took out mortgages they couldn't afford and then blamed the brokers, lenders, politicians, etc when they went bad....anyone but themselves.

I do agree with you that he stays though - he seems to be a high character guy...would be a complete chump if he left.

Well I feel better then. 99% of your predictions are wrong.
