O'Brien says he can't give an update on Mauti's injury. "I don't know the diagnosis."

O'Brien getting emotional when talking about Mauti. And a little emotional when asked a followup.

"When I know what it is, I'll tell you guys."

After injury, O'Brien said he didn't say much when he gathered team on the field. "I just wanted us to get going."

"When I first saw (McGloin), I knew we had a competitive kid and I knew football was important to him. You have to have those traits to be a successful quarterback. In my opinion, you have to have a brain that can work fast, be competitive and have a desire to win. And he has that. ... Charlie worked a lot with his technique and you have to give Charlie credit and obviously Matt."

"It's hard anytime you lose a guy like Malcolm (Willis), but those guys were resilient and tough. Maybe there was a bad play here or there but they didn't let it become a bad day."

On sideline interference penalty:

"That's on me. I was in the white and the guy ran into me."

On Zwinak and fumbling:

"We do a lot of different drills but at the end of the day the player has to do it. I think he'll improve. That was a bad fumble he had today and he knows it."

On the atmosphere:

"I thought it was good. I didn't know what to expect. We have great fans here and this team really appreciates it. I thought the fans were really good today. And I hope they're phenomenal next week."

Its probably nothing, bit I wish he would say he'll be back.

A simple, "yes" would have been all it took.
This subject is now going to grow out of control.

Honestly, I still don't care what BOB says. Because what he says doesn't matter. Are assurances really going to keep people from talking or bothering him about it? No.

I was hoping he would say he has ZERO interest in any other jobs and is focused on restoring the roar at PSU.

How would he tell anyone he is leaving when he prob hasn't talked to any NFL NCAA teams ?

Am I the only one that doesn't like that response? He dodged the question but also only made reference to the the senior class. I am obviously not saying the world is over and he is definitely leaving but I would much rather have heard the "fuck no I'm not leaving! Next question!"
