Don't disagree with anything you said but screw the Big 10.

I'm not saying screw the big ten. They didn't back us at all, but they have reasons for that. I'm not sure they understand what another bad team does to the conference overall.
On thing from the game. It's apparent that we'll miss Redd and Brown. The cupboard is thin on playmakers. I hate what Paterno did to this team. He is no hero to me.

So you are saying Alabama is an "average" SEC team???? You lost any credibility you may have had with that statement....

Honestly, Wisconsin and Iowa barely beating a directional team may actually hurt worse than Michigan's loss...I don't think any rational person thought Michigan would lose by less than 21.....

Notice, I didn't mention your loss to Ohio U.....I don't think with the hand y'all have been dealt that we should expect the PSU we all knew for at least 5 years....

Wtf did Paterno do to this team? It's not his fault two of PSU's best playmakers on offense quit and ditched their own teammates. Btw PSU was 8-1 last year when he was fired............. Now to get back on topic, I am personally rooting for the Big Ten to fall flat on its face. The only two teams that looked good this week are OSU and Nebraska.

The B1G is not a great football conference.

OSU and UM fans always make me laugh when they talk about why the B1G is the best. Its extremely overrated, and has been for quite a while now. As a conference the B1G hasn't been able to keep up with the other power conferences. For every Wisconsin Rose Bowl winning team, there's two or three losing B1G teams that are exposed by teams who throw the ball more than 25 times a game.

Big Ten and SEC ere the only conferences to beat a top 25 OOC team and yet the Big Ten sucks? 10-2 ith a top 25 win is a good weekend. Stanford on in a 'thank God' game against San Jose, Oklahmoa is playing for it's life agains a hpaless UTEP team, Boling Green Scared Florida... It's early, but OSU, MSU and Wisconson are right up there.

There appears to be a semblance of sanity on these boards..

Lots of context today following our early loss. Iowa had to come back late to beat an NIU team that is not as good as Ohio. Wiscy BARELY beat an FCS team. Illinois didn't exactly handle another MAC team. NW struggled with a bad Syracuse team. I will say though, that Braxton Miller and Taylor Martinez looked very good. Those games could be ugly.

If we can get some things worked out over the next three weeks, we can win some B1G games. Have to figure out the running game first and foremost. Will make a big difference.

Big ten treated us like crap since 1994. I am rooting against everyone in big ten exxcept wildcats.

When Denard Robinson runs roughshod over this DEFENSELESS conference, the media will be all over him for the Heisman chase. The one thing I like about Mark Dantonio at Michigan State is he's improving his defense little by little. Defense wins championships, as PSU proved in 2005 and 2008. Ohio State always had the athletes to either win the conference outright or Co-win it with PSU those two years.

Wisconsin will play either Michigan or Michigan State again for the trophy, IMHO.

No doubt the SEC is a better conference than the Big10 right now. I don't see either the PAC or the Big12 being any better than the Big10 over the past decade, and in fact I feel both have been weaker - with the exception of about 2 or 3 teams, neither of those conferences play anything that can be remotely confused with a defense.

Concerning Big10 vs SEC play - in bowl games the Big10 has played them to almost .500 over the past decade or so. It is important to remember that for the SEC team they are often home games (all of LSU's BCS title have been won at home for Pete's sake) and often the SEC team is a higher ranked or conference-finishing team. Still, the Big10 has managed to somewhat hold their own.

BTW - likewise with the results of the Rose Bowl prior to the BCS - the Big10 team often played either USC or UCLA, which provided essentially a home venue for them.

That said, Saturday did not look good for the Big10. Iowa's close win is not as bad as it appears - No. Ill. were the cahmps of the MAC last year at 11-3. The rest is pretty inexcusable. Wisky almost gets AppyStated. MichiganSparty survived against a Boise team that no one knows if they are any good (they seem to lack any playmakers beyond the RB position). Nebraska won convincingly but gave up too many points to a weak opponent. No one outside AnnArbor thought MichiganU woudl give Alabama a game; it just revealed that they lived a charmed life last season and are going to have to face reality this year - outside of Denard running they just don't have much. OSU looked great after the fist quarter but the opponent was suspect (better than last year's opener against a horrible Akron, but how much better?).

I wouldn't make too many judgements about the Big10 after one game, but there is definitely a reason to be concerned.

Concerning your loss to OhioU.........I would say there is no shame in losing to the class of the MAC, but we all know there is. Any loss to any non-BCS school is something that fans just can't accept. I have no answers for you guys - you've got a decent core of players, but as an OSU fan I can tell you after last year, talent doesn't trump turmoil. Hopefully the team will settle into O'Brien's system, put everything behind them, and you can find some playmakers. I just want to let you know that this Buckeye is pulling for you. Prior to this year I would have been rooting mostly for OhioU, but after the crap this nation has put you guys through over the last 10 months I'm becoming more of a PSU fan than I was before - I was kinda hoping for a tie. Sure, some bad crap happened there, but it is the responsibility of a few and had nothing to do with football. The rest of the country decided someone had to pay and unfortunately instead of the guilty parties they decided to punish your football team and it's fans. I hope you guys pull through this quickly and beat every Big10 team except the Buckeyes.

Michigan State better show improvement for that to happen. Boise had no business keeping that as close as it did. No Martin, no Moore should have been no chance. I wasn't impressed with Sparty at all to be honest.
