Big new offer for Williams

  • Both Terry and Williams would be nice additions to MSU's 2013 class but neither are elite nor play key positions, IMO. With the # of offers we have to top level QBs and DBs/athletes, our staff can afford to let both kids think through the process before making their decisions.

Of the kids both Penn St. and Michigan State are recruiting, I'd definitely rather have Breneman - an absolute stud and a solid PSU verbal. We'll see if MSU lands Robbins and/or another TE in this class.

You know with each post from another team's fan, the trend becomes more and more apparent. I don't know why I needed more evidence to support this theory, but...

EVERY B1G Team has fans classier than those at O$U.

This being said, I know I shouldn't generalize, as I personally know a few Buckeye fans that are not obnoxious in the least. But the postings on this board dictate otherwise.

I've been living in OH for quite awhile now.
O$U fans are among the least knowledgeable fanbases in college football.
Many of their fans never even attended O$U or any college for that matter.
To continue that theme on the pro level, Cincinnati Bengals fans are the least knowledgeable fans in the NFL.

OSU is one of those programs where MASSIVE amounts of "fans" flock to jump on the bandwagon. With Urban Meyer there, this will only escalate.

  • I agree with the people saying he's going to be an OLB before his career is done.... could start his career at SS similar to guys like Mauti and Hodges did their first seasons. Unless he needs to play right away, a year practicing in the secondary will help his coverage skills.

  • I feel exactly the opposite. This kid is a strong safety all the way IMO. Based of some pics I've seen Id guess his weight is much closer to 190lbs currently and he possesses really good speed and hips. I definitely think he has the ability to grow into a LB if he was needed there but on this team would be a huge asset at SS and definitely has the required athleticism. I was amazed at the difference between his soph and junior film. I think too many on here have been watching his soph highlights. It's hard to question this kids speed and athleticism after watching him last season.

Agreed. His Junior tape is more impressive and he actually looks like a big SS... We will see how the staff views him...

All of teh articles and his quotes put him as a heavy MSU lean before we offered. Interested to see what hapeens after visit to PSU

I can't remember, wasn't he at PSU on junior day with Terry and Plonski?

  • Sounds like a decent player. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like PSU hasn't had much luck recruiting the Erie players.

  • I like his size, with WR being 6'2 and up the small cornerbacks don't have a chance in this league anymore.
