Big day for Beh

Given the discussion about weight with Beh, I found this article to be appropriate, especially this part:

"Our eyes deceive us sometimes," said one college coach with a laugh. "Lots of schools get scared off by how heavy a lineman is -- or isn't -- or why he doesn't have more offers or is only rated a two-star and they'd rather go for the big, heavy kid rather than a kid 40-50 pounds lighter who is 6-4 or 6-5 and has much better feet. A lot of times that (heavier, higher-ranked) kid may dominate just because he's mauls people in high school but what happens when he's got to play in space against much faster people?"

..."There is such a need for good foot quickness, balance and agility, and those things are very hard to find," said Jones, who apparently is a pretty shrewd evaluator/developer of talent.

Sounds like something the big guy would say.

  • Many predicted Jesse James would be an OT! How wrong was this assessment!? Now he's running 4.5, 4.6 40 times!

  • If this kid has a true offer instead of a conditional offer, you have to think he is on the clock. Small class; not too many openings for the OL ... just saying. Yes, its early, but ...

JMO, I can't imagine the coaches are going to wait much longer.

I think Sean and Cory have been told as much from Beh and other sources. His offer is not conditional, but he is on the clock and if another offer goes out and is accepted before Beh makes up his mind then he'll be left holding the bag.

People who actually saw him said he would have a very hard time moving to OT though.
