If he helped cover it up, he would've been charged along with Curley and the other guy.

There are bound to be a few idiots in every crowd, and that video is a perfect example. I don't think anyone on this board would be proudly passing that link along.

Your statements regarding Paterno are pretty strong, and I might agree with them if JoePa was initially told all the explicit details that are being reported...I'd like to hear his side of the story, as well as all the facts, before making any judgment, though...the Duke lacrosse scandal being a perfect example of why this is preferrable.

That being said, I really have to question your motivation for coming over to this board and posting what you have posted....unless you are trying to lower yourself to the level of those idiotic few PSU fans.

  • I have a couple of things I'd like to say. First, I have always had a ton of respect for Joe Paterno. I've always viewed him as a molder of men and respect the hell out of him and his wife for their generosity. This situation is beartbreaking and tragic. Words cant describe how horrible the whole ordeal is. My heart goes out to the victims of that sick bastard. That said, I would like to address the issue of so many people generalizing Buckeye fans. Obviously, I'm one of them, so that right there will eliminate my objectivity in many of your eyes. And that's okay. I couldn't care less what any of you think. I'm just calling it as I see it.
There's a couple sick people on here taking what some disgruntled Buckeye fans have said and interpreting the tenor of their words to mean that they're glad a bunch of children were raped. You are absolutely sick for thinking those Buckeye fans are actually happy those kids were raped just so they could spit venom at your fanbase. That right there makes you look trashier than what you imagine the majority of Buckeye fans to be like. I'm not sure why you're propagating all this anti-OSU venom amidst the worst scandal in PSU history. Even a moronic gator fan came on here and attacked Ohio State on this forum. It just never ceases to amaze me how hypocritical college football fans from all over the country are and how much of an agenda they have against certain teams and schools. I remember when the Tressel controversy was at its worst. People didn't come on our site to say "We wish the best for your program," like they are on this forum. They said stuff to the effect of "You deserve the death penalty," which frankly, is beyond me given how much OSU's dirty laundry has paled in comparison to other programs. Miami players getting hookers, abortions, and yacht trips wasn't as big to the media. Alabama's suit scandal has been ignored entirely by ESPN. Oregon and LSU's use of recruiting agents was swept under the rug. Auburn paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to an athlete was not a big deal to anyone. Yet when an OSU player gets an extra mild sauce packet from Taco Bell, it's Outside The Lines material. I get it. There's a huge case of penis envy by most of the teams in the nation. For the few that might consider their team better, OSU is still one of those perennial national title contenders you keep your eye on. Our brand is hated by everyone, and that's okay. However, what's not okay is attacking fans of a program you hate for whatever reason. I guess I'm just saying that to those PSU fans calling Ohio State fans trash: I remember when you threw bags of urine on the Ohio State marching band. I remember when you chucked cans of beer at an OSU student and justified it by saying he shouldn't have been in that area (although it was later revealed that he was invited to a fraternity party by PSU students). I remember when your student section wore t-shirts attacking a 19 year old kid because he chose another school. I remember the shirts you wore that attacked a great Ohio State coach.
What I'm saying is that there are some bad Ohio State fans. But you also have fans who aren't any better. Same goes for every program. So quit generalizing our entire fanbase with your garbage. You're not any better.

  • We all hate child molestation, some fans from other schools seem to like making jokes about it though. Don't come to our board talking shit and then crying when you get put in your place.

If feeling that the people in charge ( Kurley, Paterno, etc.) should be punished harshly and feeling (like the majority of the country following this story) that there is no way possible that all of this went on (Sandusky's actions, past investigations and allegations, Sandusky admitting to wrong doing in the past, etc.) without Paterno knowing about it makes me like the "idiotic fans" ( who are throwing urine and using gay slurs) then so be it. That's your opinion.

You're bouncing from thread to thread, trying to enact payback for the Tressel situation. What you're doing is sick wrong. Children were hurt, and all you can think to do is to try and get payback for what our fans put the Buckeyes through during Tattoo Gate.

You are a disgusting human being.

You are so wrong with your abuse toward Italian Buck. The man has dedicated his life, his time, and his money to helping cancer ravaged kids. When he says he cares about the kids, he truly cares about the kids.

In all seriousness, I really do hope Paterno is somehow cleared of any wrongdoing and that the correct measures take place to straighten this thing out. It would be tragic for Paterno's career to end like this but justice needs to be served.
