Disclaimer: I know how arrogant this post sounds, and I typically despise this kind of cockiness from other fans, but it has to be said.
I think PSU needs to play the regional teams more often to be able show the regional recruits which program is really on top. While wins aren't everything, they certainly do help recruiting, and I think beating Pittsburgh, Rutgers, UVA, and even Va Tech would go a long way towards helping our regional recruiting. JMO.
We need to assert regional dominance and make sure kids know that PSU is the premier team in the northeast and a good recruiting class or two for other programs isn't going to change that.
And yes, I know UVA will be a tough game this year and we are more likely to lose than win. However, I think we'll be in good position to beat them the next year and then beat Rutgers and Pitt twice each.

Yeah, not sure why people are jumping all over me because I said we would be underdogs.
As a PSU fan, I didn't expect to need a last-minute TD to beat Temple. But that was reality last year. This is reality this year. Not going to apologize for having failed to chalk UVA up as an automatic win.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino
