I bet they realized just how ba dthey screwed up when most big time donors said they were through giving money after their latest blunder.

However, I fully expect them to somehow screw this up just like everything else this year until they show me otherwise.

An appeal should have been automatic from the start. Look at what is going on now with the NFL and Jonathan Vilma. He appealed right away and now there is talk of cutting his ban in half.

I'm not trying to be a doom and gloomer here but since our fearless leader big Rod signed the consent decree or whatever, what can seriously be done? He technically consulted with the executive board or at least a member or two on whether or not he had the right to sign off on the decree without the board having knowledge of the sanctions and voting whether to accept it or not.

Agree with this 100 percent.

Appeal will definitely be squashed immediately. It's the federal lawsuit that is the big step (albeit from a voted on BoT member another unknown others at this point.)

That's my concern. Like him saying: "eff this, what did I tell you about appealing these sanctions, 4 year death penalty applied immediately."

This is just a couple of the new guys. The majority of the board accepted getting hosed. The interesting question will be if a minority number of BoT members can legally appeal something the majority of the board has accepted/agreed to.

If he did that, then PSU would be entitled to an appeal unless they sign off on it again.

I thought he already came out and said that was never an option.
