I listened to it but there were some people talking near me so this is the best I can recall. Mike asked about the seniors being honored and BOB expressed how they deserved it. Mike stated how happy he is that BOB got the coach of year award since last year Brady Hoke got it and he (Mike) was not thrilled with that. BOB was asked about his reaction to the sanctions and he stated he was "angry" and "frustrated." However, he said they had to move on and not let their reaction effect the football team. BOB stated that he "supported Rod Erickson" and complimented the job being done by Dave Joyner. Mike stated that recruits might question that with the sanctions there was nothing to play for at Penn State. BOB disagreed that there was nothing to play for and said relatively few of the recruits have even brought up the subject of no bowls or championships. He said that the most important aspect of the sanctions are the limits on number of players. The 65 total and 15 per year are what really hurts. BOB was also asked about the NFL and that Penn State fans would like him to stay at PSU for a long time. He stated what he has said in the past. He loves coaching at Penn State and will be loyal to the players. He considers the NFL to be the pinnacle of coaching. I think this is accurate but perhaps someone else can correct any misstatements.
