If Dake is allowed to stall like crazy and take injury timeouts when DT is about to score on him, then Taylor won't win. In the last two national finals matches, I think Kyle Dake has taken a grand total of one offensive shot. He'll sit back and tie up DT through the entire first period; then it will be a battle of attempted ride-outs. That plays into Dake's favor. Hopefully Taylor can get a takedown or two in this match and force Dake to come out of his defensive posture.

I will also add that Cael made the team immediately start working on their non-dominant sides in wrestling from the get go too. Wanted them to be uncomfortable so they don't resort to just one strength on the mat. Simply things like starting on top from the opposite side or shooting in on the opposite side. This is tough to do because wrestlers are creatures of habit and instinct an he broke what was natural to them all and refined their habits and instincts to be able to wrestle from any angle possible.
IE: Molinaro used to dominate matches and never worked as hard on bottom. He got handled by Dake and the coaches and his teammates worked him from both sides on bottom all off season long. Well the rest is history now.
These coaches aren't afraid to rebuild great talent by breaking these guys down and adding to their arsenal. Cael is a great coach and can't wait for him to blow up on the high school camp circuit as well.
