The Lions' Pride

Just an editorial, both of these players really impressed me in a multitude of ways during the game and afterwards.

Throughout the game, especially when Austin picked up his second foul, he never once said a word to the officials calling the game. Anytime a call went against him or his team, the Philadelphia native was calm, cool, and collected, always handing the ball straight to the referee.

He is a quiet leader, always composed with the ball in directing his team while running the point. Austin’s length is something that has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated, a trait used to his advantage every time he drives the lane.

Jeter plays hard on both ends and always seemed to be around the ball. Going forward, 32 shots isn’t going to cut it. He is going to need to pass the ball more and not settle for contested threes – he was 0-10 behind the arc. That said, the pull-up mid-range game was working and fun to watch, he is more built than Austin but can maneuver around the court effortlessly.

After the final whistle, Jeter emerged from the locker room to a group of reporters, and answered each question thoughtfully. Though he was visibly rattled and upset after his last high school game, the showed his maturity, a trait that will carry him through college and beyond.

I actually read it as him possibly going to Wisky and coming to the BJC. Hope I'm wrong.

I thought the same thing.

He hasn't .But he's already made two unofficial visits here - once as a sophomore, and once as a junior - so it's not like the PSU campus is an unknown quantity to him.
