I hate to tell you guys, but it would take a lot less people to not attend games before PSU would make less money than they would if ticket prices were at a pre-STEP level.
I think they need to offer some half season packages and 3 game packs, both with reduced rates. And they may. But I don't see STEP going away or being made cheaper.

Didn't suggest making it pre-STEP cheap... But the suggestions that you make are ways to adjust it, to get more people in the stands. That is more than the current admin is doing. You just did more than they have lol Maximize the system, be flexible and come up with solutions. That's all we ask of our administration... You know to work hard and actually do their job when they notice that it's not working at it's full potential...

As someone who doesn't have season tickets, is STEP like a PSL for a professional team (a one time fee to reserve the rights to purchase the same seats each season) or does it require annual fees ("donations") in addition to the cost of the tickets? If the latter, is it more than was required before STEP was established?

With how much tickets are now compared to what they were ten years ago, I don't think they care about attendance numbers. They caree about how much money is being made. If tickets are now three time higher then ten years ago and we they only lose about 15 thousand in attendance for the lower level games they are still making more money then they used to.
Fill the stadiumn for big games and they are making three times the amount then they used to. That's all it is about making money.

I understand what you are saying. And right now profit is a bottom line and it is the most important. I just think that there is a way to do both. Maybe it's not totally at capacity, but the suggestions of a few on here seem to be pretty smart, and would work, and are worth at least discussing. They don't even seem to be prepared to do that... The fact that they arent even talking about it, while people are noticing and commenting, just shows that they are ignoring a problem that could be fixed while keeping profits high. i think we can do both here- or should at least strive to try to do both...

I understand your thinking but, next year what do you say to the person who is paying $600.00 to sit in a seat. We want you to pay full price again so if the games not sold out we can discount the remaning tickets again to people who don't give anything. Let them empty, if not for the sanctions no one would care if the seats were empty.
