  • Buckeye fan here. I've obviously followed AA's recruiting. A great looking prospect. My read? Florida was always his Dad's preference. His Dad is a graduate and his Grandparents live nearby. The week after he verbaled to OSU he visited Florida with his Dad and they told him the Inn was full at LB and that he would have to play H Back. They did not like this.

His goal is a top flight Business School in addition to Football. Of the schools on his list Stanford would be an obvious #1, PSU #2 and then ND and Florida would trail. He seems like a great kid. I wish him well. In the end I believe his Dad will have a major influence on his decision. I'm going to predict its either 1. PSU 2. ND. Good luck.

Literally none of what you posted is true.

His dad was fine with OSU, until your players took AA out to a party where there were drugs. Then both AA and his father did an abrupt about face.

UF is still recruiting him and want him at LB.

    He's going to ND.

  • If his problem was a party with drugs he's going to have a very hard time finding a school to commit to.

    perfect

  • I appreciate Buckeye fans who come over here in peace.

That said, everything on that board that I've read has centered entirely around Anzalone's dad. Meanwhile, NOTHING on any other board has even mentioned him. There's a reason for that - OSU fans, IMO, are just looking for someone to blame, and the father was convenient.

  • I would literally shit my pants if he picks PSU, who would want to play at a school that isn't going to be eligible to play in a bowl game for the next 5 years, let alone the dark cloud hanging around there, I say ND.

This isn't an NCAA deal you numbnut. In case you don't realize it, the NCAA goes after schools that gain advantages on the field, like illegally recruit student-athletes or schools that knowingly plays ineligible players to add to the win total and get a great bowl, like OSU. While our situation is light years worse than that of the one in Columbus, its a job for the Feds, not for the NCAA. Where is the advantage that PSU gained during this? I'll wait for the answer from you. I'm sure you will sound very foolish trying to come up with one.

  • I've honestly never seen a group of people feed into a recruit like this. Do we really care all that much? I know I don't.

Damn.....people following him on twitter, following others who follow him, prob also following his publicist. JEEZ! This shit is getting Fing ridiculous.

Here, I'll be the first one to say it...............I HOPE he doesn't come to PSU! Down vote me all you want. I don't want him, and could honestly care less. The only embarrassing thing is me actually wasting 3 min to post this.

People follow kids like this all the time, even on here.

Also, don't go to some SEC boards. Though they at least admit they push those kids through their factories.

Oh, I know. I just find it ridiculous that grown men(and maybe women) are this obsessed with a recruit.

+1 because you have been consistent on your thoughts of AA.

We heard about "negative recruiting" that PSU allegedly did (but has be debunked by our insiders). Is it out of the realm of possibility that he got turned off from negative recruiting from our fanbase as we know his family, and most likely himself knowing the attention he likes, is prob. on this board? I doubt the Domers have been as tough on this kid because he is not an in-state recruit, plays defense, plays LB, really shouldnt be going to ND (this would be a clear win for them), etc..

Well, I know this is going to sound foolish and I'm not sure it's even true. But over on our boards someone posted something to the effect that there was a PSU thread recently that stated if PSU got hit hard with penalties by the NCAA that it would be another form of punishment to the victims of Sandusky as JS used his position at PSU and his charity to identify the victims. So if PSU was somehow hit hard it would adversely effect the victims. So, some fans on our board were trying to make the case that if JS used his position at PSU to entice the young men that this would be an issue for the NCAA to look at. That's the thinking in a nut-shell. Let me say as an OSU fan that I don't believe PSU's football program deserves penalties. Also, I'm not sure I even believe that any PSU fan would post something like that. I'm hopeful of the day when we can just have a good, hard, friendly rivalry with PSU as both Ohio and Pennsylvania are both outstanding football states. Good luck in 2012!

I really don't care where he goes, but wish him the best. Now with that said, if he was looking for the best place to win a NC,for 2013 only, then UF. For the best LB coach PSU, best education PSU/ND.
