Anzalone checks out Penn State

  • 24_carlisle14 said...

Totally disagree. Totally. I paid up because I was tired of this sort of off topic banter and bull-stuff on the free sites. This thread is over 8 pages. That is a whole lot of scanning and looking to see if there is any "real" updates hiden among the OT banter, the jjabs on michigan, and the like. When the thread pops to the top of the page you think there is something new or noteworthy to look at, only to click in and see..... well, stuff like I just typed. Nothing of substance on the topic. Now I added to the problem. I especially dislike when it is 2 guys yapping back and forth. Take it to PM. I am usually looking at this forum on my cell which adds to the surfing time.... really, there is no need. Kep it on topic, and start an OT thread if you must banter so we know it is OT and we can skip it. This thread should have Anzalone's updates .... his visits, his interviews/comments, his tweets, his new offers, etc.

So one thread per prospect for all his updates? Yeah ok, that makes sense. Sorry these guys had a conversation. I'm pretty sure a lot ended up being about the quality of LB porspects and coaching at the schools, that may or may not pertain to Anzalone, idk.

  • Anzalone stated either today or yesterday that Ohio State is the slight leader at this point in time. Not really surprising but still this is the first time he has publicly stated that he has a favorite.

Trust me, he doesn't have a leader.

Also, apparently this has been confirmed by the Bucknuts staff as well.

Think I'll side with his pop on this one.

  • And the day before he had such a great time at PSU he had to rethink going to Columbus this weekend. I recall Breneman being a Buckeye lean as well.

  • This one is far from over.

Let's get him on campus with mom and dad again.

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.

Not sure, but I think you are going out on a limb there 72. Good to know PSU is still in this race.

  • He is not gonna commit this weekend... I bet he is gonna do one of those press conference things, he not gonna give up the lime-light announcements... Its big for kids now, it lets them get another week of people begging for them... can lie, I would of did the same at 17...

Doubtful. I don't know how someone can really make such judgement calls on an individual's character without personally knowing them. Alex definitely appreciates recognition, but as his older brother, I can tell you he thinks those press conferences are rather gaudy.

Welcome to the board, Chris. I thought you had another screenname? naa something.

Anyway, to the discussion: I don't see Alex committing this weekend, but it does seem like he'll be ready to commit before or during summer.

  • Chris are you trying to get him to Penn State or just letting him make up his own mind?

I am Alex's eldest brother, and a med student in Philly. The other screen name is my younger brother's (Nick), who is a sophomore at University Park. I don't personally have a horse in this race. Sure it would be nice to be able to attend a good portion of his games, but in the long run I just want him to go where he feels he'll be the happiest and successful. Although, they don't call it Happy Valley for nothing.

Okay thanks Chris, didn't realize there was two brothers. I think everyone on this board, although it may not seem like it sometimes, wants these kids to do what's best for them and their families. Of course we are biased when it comes to Penn State and we would all love for Alex to be apart of our program for the next 4 or 5 years.
