Anzalone checks out Penn State

I think you have to take AA interests in as well. Do you think Stanford will best prepare him for the NFL or the business world?

If he is good enough, he can get to the NFL from any of those schools. If that's his main goal then you can't go wrong with "Linebacker U".

Yes. If he's good enough to play in the NFL, they'll find him no matter where he goes.

Jetta, you beat me to it. Some places "develop" unheralded kids like PSU with Vandy and LJ and Wisconsin with O-linemen. Alex is not in that category.

  • In the end, all that can be asked is for Alex to choose the best place for himself as a person, student, and athlete. He can excel in all three facets at each of the four schools that appear to be his finalists. Certain schools will make it easier, while others may offer temptations and distractions. Imo, he is a tailor made fit for Penn State, but he may feel otherwise. If he can filter the promises and statistics that are fed his way, he'll inevitably make the right choice for himself.

I do likePSU, it's a unique place, but my dad and mom like Stanford. If it were me, I'd probablygo to Stanford... But I don't think he feels like he's one of the guys there. Alex is intelligent, but not the geeky type. My dad isn't a big college football fanatic, he knows about UM and watched him coach, but doesn't have time to watch a lot of TV, etc., so he's not in love with UM like people have stated. My mom met BOB once, and my dad twice. I only got to me twice, but the one time we spent several hours with him between one-on-one meetings and an awesome lunch with all the coaching staff... Those guys are a lot of fun. Both my mom and dad appreciate BOB's straightforward, no bs approach to recruiting. All that said, my parents also think UM is a good guy, I have yet to meet him... But at 8am tomorrow that'll change.

I came across something on Alex twitter where he verified his brothers account as this one

Can you please tweet something referencing this site or just post something here, wait 5 minutes and tweet it.

To be completely honest I'm not sure if you are or are not real, and this seems like the easiest way to verify it, Thanks.

They would have been more likely to believe it if one of them said OSU was definately in the lead I bet.

Forgive me, but it's hard to take anyone too seriously that has a Reds Rule avatar. Keep aspiring to that lofty goal of a Division Title.

Aaaaahhh the Reds. Scott Rolen is my favorite Cardinal ever, but old Walt keeps picking up our scraps. And Dusty Baker HAAHAAHAHAHA. Then they signed two guys who they cannot afford, traded their farm system for a crap pitcher, and of course no one actually shows up for their games.

Must suck to suck Reds fan.

  • Just got done with day one at tOSU. Urban seemed like a genuine guy to me, and really spent a lot of time with us before and after practice. They'll let Alex do a 3+2 BA/MBA track trough the Fisher's honors program. With his AP credits, starting a semester early, and taking summer classes, he'll be able to do it in 4.5 years with relative ease. He's spending the night with Ryan Shazier. The campus and facilities are pretty ridiculous IMO.

There is nothing genuine about Meyer. He comes across as genuine, until that signature on the NLI comes.

I will refer you to my earlier post. Of course he comes across as genuine. All good salesmen do, and he's the best. Again, the information is out there. He has a long and well documented history of saying whatever he needs to say at a given time, the truth being entirely irrelevant. Do not believe for one second that any coach is not trying to sell a recruit at all times, especially Meyer. Recruiting is sales, pure and simple.
