  • About that Bucknuts interview ... the quote was, "I think Ohio State is probably my leader." The words "I think" and "probably" show AA's statement is hardly solid. I believe his brothers when they say he hasn't made up his mind. AA's statement is no more sincere than what Ryan Switzer and Devin Butler said about PSU before they committed elsewhere.

I came to the same conclusion.

Drtickles, it's a good thing your dad is a pediatrician. That nickname in any other specialty would be a HUGE problem. LOL.

Ya except this time the kid has visited the school two times already and is heading back for a third visit for their spring game that just so happens to fall on the same day as Penn State's. The kid is Ohio State bound. People need to accept it and move on.

  • After watching "The Joe We Know" after reading those articles on Urban Meyer not instilling discipline and accountability at Florida, showed such a dramatic difference between the 2. From all signs, OB seems pretty similar to Joe.

Tell his brothers. They haven't gotten that memo yet.

He flat out said that Ohio State is the leader in an interview. His words from his mouth. I'll believe that over what his brothers are saying. Just because they are related to him doesn't mean they know his every thought.

Does Alex stay in contact with a lot of our current commits?

He is in contact with Adam Brenaman on a regular basis. I am in the hotel room in Cbus now for the visit this weekend. I can tell you for a fact that his mind is not made up. Will that change once we get on campus tomorrow, no one knows... But for the time being, there are no plans on him committing to any school this weekend. If anything Stanford is his leader tbh, just gotta figure out if he really wants to be 3k miles away from home...

Miami offered him on our drive up here as well. So another Florida trip is in his future.

From your post last nite, It's pretty evident you'd prefer he went to PSU if all things were equal in regards to your brother's suitors. Do your parents feel the same way? Or is it true what some people think about your dad being in love with Urban Meyer? Have your parents met BOB yet? If not, do they have any plans to?

I do likePSU, it's a unique place, but my dad and mom like Stanford. If it were me, I'd probablygo to Stanford... But I don't think he feels like he's one of the guys there. Alex is intelligent, but not the geeky type. My dad isn't a big college football fanatic, he knows about UM and watched him coach, but doesn't have time to watch a lot of TV, etc., so he's not in love with UM like people have stated. My mom met BOB once, and my dad twice. I only got to me twice, but the one time we spent several hours with him between one-on-one meetings and an awesome lunch with all the coaching staff... Those guys are a lot of fun. Both my mom and dad appreciate BOB's straightforward, no bs approach to recruiting. All that said, my parents also think UM is a good guy, I have yet to meet him... But at 8am tomorrow that'll change.

Thanks again Chris (and Nick) for all your insights. It's obvious your parents have done great job of raising all three of you. Much success in Philly working towards becoming a doctor. Also, please keep us updated on how things progress with Alex's recruitment.

Have your parents read the two articles from this week? I guess I'd think he was a good guy too, but only if I was in the "circle of trust". I can understand Stanford, of course. But I really don't get the magical spells Meyer puts on kids/parents during recruiting. I'd be interested to hear if his powers work on you today as well!

  • Well guys have a good time today.

Also, I wouldn't blame anyone for going to Stanford. That is the one school that would have had me second guessing PSU. If Alex doesn't come to PSU that's where I would want him to go.

If I was advising him I'd tell him to go to Stanford. If he didn't want to be that far from home, PSU is the obvious choice. I really don't see the advantage in going to OSU.

I think you have to take AA interests in as well. Do you think Stanford will best prepare him for the NFL or the business world?
