Anyone up for starting a class action law suit

  • Against the NCAA? How much would you anti up to pay for a legal team? I'm in if it happens! lynchmob How about all the small businesses who will likely fold due to this!

  • Your class action can run in parallel with the class action that the victims of child rape will file against the University for covering up child molestation for 13 years. Some of you Penn Staters need to take a deep breath and see how stupid and delusional you look this morning.

  • I think the only people that could file suit would be the PSU athletes. I do not think it would happen and I think it could be hard to prove, but if current players, especially the younger ones, filed a suit, they might have a chance.

There is no doubt this will hurt the business community, but their lawsuit would get thrown out. It is like the local business community filing a suit against the Federal Government for the FED no longer doing business with a local contractor, thus shutting it down or for the FED to shut down a local millitary base.

What could fans claim as damages?

  • How about the taxpayers of the state. If I hear one more nut saying the state is not giving PSU enough money I'll scream!

Not a troll. I can just imagine Ericsson crying that the state needs to give more money. He should have fought this all the way. Now he should be gone!

  • A lawsuit at this point will accomplish nothing and will go nowhere. This PSU administration has turned their back on the PSU student athletes, alumni and fans. Their inept handling of this situation only continues the pattern that the BoT's started. At this point, I don't know why any top athletes would want to come to or stay at PSU. The administration just threw the program under the bus for political expediency. One would think that at some point, they would finally take control of the situation and start making progress towards actual healing and recovery. Instead, they are inviting everybody to take their pound of flesh and letting everybody else dictate the crisis. Their continues to be NO leadership.

For the fans and alumni, there is only one true way to make your feelings heard. That is through your pocketbooks. Unfortunately, any donations to the NLC are not just donations that support PSU student athletes, they serve to bolster Erickson and Joyner and justify the job they are doing. If the PSU alumni and fans continue the generous giving that they have in the past, Erickson and Joyner will come out the heros here. They will have de-emphasised football, yet maintained the financial prosperity that existed prior to November 2011.

I have to try and reconcile in my head how I can continue to support where Rod and Dave are taking us. I believe in BoB, but he is so handcuffed at this point that you can't expect anthing at this point. .500 records at this point will become hugely successful seasons. Not getting blownout against the better teams we play will be a victory. The product that will be on the field the next 5-10 years just will not be worth the financial committment it will take to see it. Pitt will actually be able to laugh at our attendance now.
