Most of those calling for the death penalty and whatnot get their info from Steven A Smith and the like. They have not taken the time to actually look at the true situation. I believe Paterno knew JS f up. I believe he tried to to take the wrong approach in getting JS some sort of help. I DONT believe he actively covered this thing up for 14 years, with malicious intent as the media would lead everyone to believe. I havent read anything that suggests he did. I believe he made a horrible decision. They are making him out be a monster and he was anything but a monster. It was all not a lie as ESPN would have you believe. He graduated his players at a higher rate than anyone and made them into strong men, with a degree.

I feel the same way. I cant think about what it would be like to spend Saturdays without PSU football.

Holy crap fellas. This is an economic empire! Money means more than anything. There will be no football bans. Too much money involved..period. We will buy our way out of this apparently.

I've already snapped. Totally defeated and prepared for the worst. I'm not even sure how I'm going to feel come September. It just all feels spoiled.

I'm planning on taking a trip to State College this weekend. Breakfast at The Waffle Shop, lunch at the Deli, and walking up and down College Ave shopping and giving my g/f a tour of the campus. Probably gonna get my pic at the statute incase I never get the chance again. When the scandal broke I went to the Nebraska game and after walking around campus for awhile I just felt better about the whole situation. I'm also planning on taking a break from this site and other sites that have info about PSU. I already stopped watching any sports TV other than the Pirates. Encore has James Bond movie every night at 8 for those of you who care.

I have tried hard not to read the idiot articles or watch espn. Despite that I am still nuts. Tonight my wife brings it up. I try to give my best explanation of what I think occurred and the deficiencies in freeh's conclusions. Of course it ended poorly. So now my wife is pissed at me on top of everything else.

Was handling it pretty well until I started my new job this week where Sandusky jokes have been lobbed my way at every opportunity. Gotta just stay strong guys, We Are.
