  • Find it definitely hilarious how upset people are getting over a kicker a drunk kicker at that. Kicker's are head cases and I would much rather support the guys that are going to be there. So I am throwing all my support to Alex "I Can't Believe its not" Buttersworth and Mr. Ficken is Sticken(props to Sean).

  • Sean, sorry if I'm missing it in your post, but when you say he would get his undergrad degree at PSU and grad school at UT, what kind of timeframe would that be? I thought he wouldnt graduate until later this year...

  • OK... just a second.... FERA WAS A PUNTER IN THE DOGHOUSE HALF THE TIME..... SERIOUSLY?.... A PUNTER?..... I admit.... this guy has legit skills that increase a team's overall value.... no question.... skills are there. But on a team like this that NEEEEEEEDS high character guys..... this is a PUNTER that welcomed the doghouse repeatedly..... always out screwing up.

    I'll find a way to shed a tear bout something else.

    He was undoubtedly a huge loss re: his skills..... but really..... he was not a decent character individual.... if BO'B would have needed to discipline his punter I would have been livid.

    While it sounded crazy the first time I read it..... You know what, you're right, nothing to lose at all. And I'm typically a play it close to the vest type, but hell, throw the tendencies and percentages out the window. Draw up some trick lays, go for 2, go for it on fourth down, why not, gambling isn't going to lose BOB his job, and it may garner some interest from some kids who see it as fun and wide open. Hmm.... Something to think about for sure.

    You can still play it close to the vest, when going for 2, just give it to Zordich up the middle and tell him Emmert's nephew is at the goal line trying to tackle him.biggrin

    This is garbage! Underage drinking only makes him a typical college student, and it does not mean his character is bad. However, disparaging the kid's character because you're upset that he's transferring does not say much about your own character.

    I'm sorry to see him go too, but best of luck to him.

    He was our 4th LB, so technically 2nd string. But he was versatile and saw a good deal of action as well.

    It's been this way forever with every fan base, including PSU fans, for forever. It will continue to be that way. Many people get bitter about someone choosing against something they love.

    You may be right, but McCoy is a terrible example to use. Michael Robinson let him know in no uncertain terms that he was not Penn State material. And MRob knows Penn State material better than any of us. I always saw that situation as a kid acting like an idiot, not sour grapes.
