Epic Fail. With all the conference shifting going on attaching a number to your conference would not be a good idea. See Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10.

I would go with...
All American Conference (AAC probably would get confused with ACC)
Collegiate Athletic Conference (Probably too close to Colonial Athletic Conference)
Trans-Atlantic Conference (Sounds too mid major)
Ok I can't think of anything else serious so I think they should go with BIG11 regardless of how may teams. Big 10, Big 11, Big 12. The Big 10 would have 12 teams, the big 12 would have 10 teams and I hope the Big 11 has 9 teams.

I just find it funny that 7 basketball schools bent over the Big East and took their name away from them with seemingly little fight.

Why do all conferences have to have "Big" or some regional association in the name?
Why not think outside the box and go for some real branding opportunity? Think national branding instead of regional.
Nobody will give a crap about the America 12, sounds like they're promoting the original colonies or something. (Yes, I know there were 13 original colonies.)
How about something like:
BOOM Athletic Conference
Speed & Strength Conference
Xplode Athletic Conference
It will never happen, but IMHO the former Big East is missing out on a one time chance to rebrand themselves.
