From today - not exactly what we wanted to hear....I understand i think it is highly doubtful O'Brien leaves - but the more and more this drags on without a statement - my concern grows.
I just wish he would solidify things with his current team because it has to affect their thinking as well.

Yeah, definitely needs to sure up what the hell he is doing for recruiting purposes. I'd have to think that if he was thinking baout leaving, we'd know about it by now from recruits and their thoughts/opinions on PSU but the guys we have committed are as firm as can be still.
Something definitely needs to be said after the Wisky game on his decision to stay or not.

I just wish he would solidify things with his current team because it has to affect their thinking as well. Remember 5-6 weeks ago they asked AROB about going to another team and he was adamant about saying he wouldn't listen....now he seems totally open. I wonder what changed.
The collegian one sounds a little better.

I agree. At first I thought he was just stonewalling the press, but if his team doesn't know, and it's giving them doubts, then BOB has to clarify immediately (at least with the team). If he doesn't, then I think there is reason for concern. Why not tell the team and put their doubts to rest.

I used to say there is no way he is leaving...now i think he is going to be fielding offers and seeing if there is one he likes. With not taking a firm stance it leaves the door open for more offers as well.
The only other reason you leave the door open by not making a statement is for contract negotiation...i sure hope that is the case - but i don't know anymore.

Does anyone think that BOB has not discussed this with the team? I have a strong suspicion that he is treating the media the same way as Belichick, including giving the team talking points. BOB's been around the block a few times. He knows how uncertainty can affect a team. IMO, the team knows what's up with him and his commitment, one way or the other.

You guys are all going to die early. Quit worrying about some other team coming in and taking a one year coach with a 7-5 or 8-4 record and paying 10-18 million just to take him off our hands (not sure if the buyout is for the original contract length or the full 9 years). The chances of that happening are slim.
BOB is vying for a bump in pay. It's as simple as that.
