Agreed here. That email is horrible. The AG then did not allow Freeh to work "independently". It violated the assumption in parenthesis above. Further supporting that Freeh did a horrible job and was not impartial.
But still once Freeh was done with the report, the prosecutor doesn't need to work independently. The independent criteria only goes one direction, not reciprocal.

Dude you're killing me. I don't believe you don't have 10 bucks a month extra. This seems to be worth AT LEAST 10 bucks a month to you to avoid this aspect of the board you find so annoying.

That and he doesn't want to risk his credibility in this case being hurt any more by Dick Thornburgh.

After reading the above thread I find it interesting that Costas says in there ". With the benefit of time he has changed his opinion of the Freed report. Where is that any different than what Joe said, in hindsight wish I would have done more.

Just proof that the media didn't even bother reading the Freeh Report. Some intern read the summary, passed it on as fact, the talking heads rolled with it. Unbelievable.
