I'm seeing a lot of new threads on very similar topics pop up on the board recently. In the interest of providing a place where we can discuss our old pals at the NCAA and on the BOT, or other similar non-football topics, without cluttering up the board, I'd ask that you limit them to this thread, at least for a little while.
Feel free to post relevant links, get things off your chest -- it's your baby. Just keep it here for now, and we'll see how it goes.
Thanks.

I think the fact that it was excluded from their report is really the damning part of this. I mean, how can anything in the report be taken seriously if something like this was excluded?
btw, this quote is great. "incompetent regulatory institution" sounds about right....
Perez told the AP last month that "had I realized I was dealing with, what is in my opinion ... such an incompetent regulatory institution, I would have never allowed Mr. Shapiro to have had any type of contact with the NCAA -- period."

Good Idea.
Here are some of the Jay Bilas tweets referenced earlier for those interested. I agree with Bilas how did the letter on behalf of Shapiro escape the investigation? Oh I know, it was a sham!!
Jay Bilas @JayBilas What college ADs are pulling down: http://usat.ly/15yg9hR Remember, NCAA doesn't have any money (after they pay themselves, of course).
Jay Bilas @JayBilas Still stunned by this, and its exclusion from NCAA report: http://usat.ly/WvzQXa NCAA has not commented. So much for transparency.

NCAA contradicts itself in PA lawsuits.
cliffs:
In the motion to dismiss PA vs NCAA, NCAA argues that the fine is not a restraint of trade or commerce. Two weeks later, in its motion against the PA law requiring that the fine stay in PA, NCAA argues that the law discriminates against interstate commerce.
Let that sink in for a second. The NCAA, ladies and gentlemen!

Stephanie Nolan Deviney has a BOT re-election facebook page. She's getting killed by people who are demanding that she step down, however some of the comments she's made are interesting. She's stated that the BOT has not accepted the Freeh Report or the Consent Decree. I'm not sure if it means anything in the grand scheme of things but it's atleast interesting to hear from her.
