Alex Kenney

  • Has he seen the field? Is/was he hurt? I guess I'm surprised to hear so little about him. I thought maybe he'd make a difference on ST. With his speed and vision it would be an alternative to trotting out best offensive player (moye) out there. Heck even Amos would be an alternative to moye. I'd just hate for moye to get hurt and then our offense would be even worse.

    Amos is on defense.

  • Yep ... Talking about on punt returns.

  • He returned a kickoff against ISU. I was anti-Moye at first on punt returns, but he showed an ability to go hit a hole that we've lacked so far. Other teams use their best players on punt/kickoff returns, so its not like we're taking a risk no one else is (see Trent Richardson).

  • I like moyes ability. He's created a spark That's for sure. I guess the main point of this post was to get any details on alex kenney a RS frosh that seemed to be pretty promising Out of HS. A track star like smith but with a bigger frame (6ft + 190lbs+). Unlike smith he was a football player before a track star. I guess I thought I'd see him as a gunner or a kos specialist.

  • I wisk Kenny was a wide reciever, he can replace devon smith

  • Bama may use Richardson but they have other proven weapons... Um we don't. We have moye and not much else but when your o sux so bad you gotta find ways to get the ball in your best players hands. Lord knows the qb ain't gonna get in a grove long enough to get it there consistently before he gets swapped. It's just sad

  • Heck my bulldog/pointer could replace smith and be an improvement shes got far more ball skills than him and doesn't get taken down by the turf monster.

We are if we don't have the depth other teams do... It's okay to use your best guys if you have capable backups in case they do get hurt.. But for us it seems that Moye and Redd is it on offense - if he goes down on a punt return then what little hope we have on O is gone totally! If we have freshman or sophmore guys like Amos or Kenney I say let them handle the punt returns.. I love J Brown as a possession receiver but he is NOT a punt returner - not near quick enough to hit the holes.
