lol not even close... they run the ball effectively to open up the play action. They are able to be so successful because of the offensive line up front and the great RB recruits that Alabama is fortunate to get! ... I definitely dont seem them slowing down anytime soon.

Millen was on Gameday earlier and mentioned the main thing Saban took away from his time with Saban was evaluation of talent for his system (since we know Millen is an expert at evaluating talent as shown by his work with the Lions ). Talked about tall corners, big lineman, speed on the outside, big beefy linebackers, etc...Its definitely more than that as Bama pretty much has their pick of talent, but it made me think some of OB and how him/his staff have been so on on evaluations before other teams jumped on them. Also made me think of the tall corners, bigger linebackers (such as Walton), speedier WRs that we seem to be targeting a good bit, and so forth.

Of course the offense's of OB and Saban's offenses are different, but I do not think they are THAT much different philosophically. Bama also has really evolved in the past few years, running some spread, pistol, etc...But like someone said its all about the run and setting up the play action. A lot of pro style offenses philosophically are like that though.
