- As I posted in a thread below, Andrew Szczerba saw limited work in drills on Monday. He didn't do any contact, but it is the most work he's gotten during practice this season.
- Gerald Hodges also got limited work, and did some sprinting today. I don't believe he had any contact work.
- No Derrick Thomas or Sean Stanley at practice on Monday.

Did Hodges play against Youngstown State or was he hurt?

Hodges played...hurt on first play against Bama. Although, I think he hurt something during YSU...only minor though.

I believe it has to do with percentage of the season or some such thing. Someone will jump in for sure as I know there is a rule where this can be made possible.
If you havent signed up for premium 247 yet..take my word for it...its worth it!

I think it is if you play less than 20% of the teams schedule and have a season ending injury you can apply for a redshirt. Of course, maybe I am just remembering a rumor and not fact...I didnt look it up to find out as I figured someone would just know. :)

Hodges could petition for a medical waver (red-shirt) if the doctors document that he was unable to play the rest of the season.
NCAA reviews and renders a decision. Takes a couple of months.

The rule is 30% and the "play" must have occurred in the 1st 30% and you must be injured (unlike a normal redshirt which can be taken any year regardless of injury but in this case you can't play at all) and then you can be granted a medical redshirt assuming you have not redshirted in the past..
