I tend to agree (see bolded text in the quote). The only exception for me is the twitter thread. I read it no less than once a week and on average twice. The pace that it is growing is a good pace for me to keep up with and its content is always current. Roaringlion has done a fantastic job with that thread. I have a Twitter Acct. but I don't have the energy to follow what the folks who contirbute to that thread do. Its fun for me. I just ignore the content that I'm not interested in and focus on the stuff that piques my attention.

Keep the updates coming please. I appreciate the occassional new thread. It tells me when there is something worth reading. Seeing a 10th page on a thread that has been around for weeks or months shows me a thread I want nothing to do with.
I don't understand that simply seeing a topic listed that somebody doesn't want to read about harms their enjoyment of the site. I regularly scan the topics for threads I have an interest in reading. If I don't want to read it, I don't open it. Maybe I'm missing something.

Seriously, my post was simply intended to give some encouragement to people who still think major leadership changes at Penn State are necessary--and who might otherwise assume that the rally on the 15th was a once and done. There is another gathering in the works, and I'm guessing it will be much larger than the first--for a number of reasons.
However, there are other things going on behind the scenes, and like the river ice packs suddenly breaking up in Alaska at the first thaw, there may be some news this month. We all need some hope to go on...
