4 Bama Players Arrested

  • Prime example of why St. Nicky abuses oversigning. He knows several of the thugs he recruits will eventually get arrested. Roll Tide

  • Ah, I'm no Bama or SEC fan but that's quite the leap you're making.

Eh its more of a joke. But I do think he recruits the stars and not the character of the player.

Well, they do have lower academic standards, and the SEC is more football focused, so I guess you open yourself up to stuff like that.

Did you see how many arrests we had last decade under JoePa or the pay attention to the JS situation?

We are hardly in a situation to be throwing stones.

Did you see how many of those arrests were made by a small town Police Chief with an axe to grind for petty misdemeanors? Most of which were summarily dismissed. Hardly compares to robbery or even worse carrying an illegal gun. Last time I checked Jerry Sandusky was convicted of crimes, not Joe Nitro. He can throw whatever stone he likes.

Oakman wasn't arrested for a petty crime... Neither was Lavon Chisley and quite a few others.

It is just ridiculous to act like every school doesn't end up with a few bad apples on the team.

  • put me in the glass house group. Granted most of our guys were drinking or MJ offenses, but we are not far enough above this to be throwing stones IMO.

Reading comprehension time. The comparison of the illegal gun was to the petty misdemeanors during the unfortunate Madeira reign, not to their robbery. Take another look.

"Hardly compared to robbery or even worse carrying an illegal weapon."

I'm pretty confident I'm comprehending that sentence.

  • He is paid to win games and that is what he does. The real problem here is the Red Elephant club not funnelling enough money at the kids forcing them to rob places. #Booster issue.

Shoplifting was still a petty offense last I checked. And Chisley had already been kicked off the team.

I agree that nobody, and no school, is perfect though.

  • have you seen what these kids did? They beat a kid unconscious then stole his backpack. Then they beat up another student and stole his wallet. That's pretty serious...

I think the proof will be what Saban does once he collects all of the facts. The one player was arrested twice in the same week so you would expect him to gone quickly.
