If it's Evan Williams, I'm visiting you in the morning.

Haha, that's a little too classy for me. Plastic jug or bust.

No no. Plastic is even better. I can bring some of the finest Russian import from Maryland if you'd like (you may know it as Vlad).

  • FWIW, it's overcast and rained a little today here in Indiana. Usually it seems OH, PA, and NY all get the Indiana weather about a day or two later.

  • Got some of those little huggie fruit drinks for any bringing kids. 75% less sugar so I can't be blamed for overactive children in the evening. :)

  • Easiest way to find the tailgate. It is in the parking lot right across from the JoePa statue on the east side of the stadium. If you enter there and follow the road back, it will be the last of the paved area(it is the baseball field parking lot down the 3rd base/left field side of the ball field. If you are on the Bryce Jordan side or campus side...walk right down Curtain road toward the statue side, cross Porter road and head down the road fight next to the stadium.

Either way both roads eventually meet, and the tailgate will be shortly before the converge. There will be Lions247 banners at the spot.

I will add this to the original post, and also add the exact spot number as well. Believe it is 6780. It is right around that spot number for sure.

  • Zzzzz....... ok I'm up. [STREEEEEETCH]

Time to go wake up the little monsters and get them showered, fed and ready to roll.

My 8 year old wrote a paper for "Best Day Ever" at school, and I couldnt help but grin that it was last year's BlueWhite Game (his first). And we know how bad the weather blew last year.

One thing I hope is that after today he will have a new "Best Day Ever".

Real Fans will be there and I'll be happy to see them. Personally, I've driven 700 miles to not miss one. Hell if I'm going to let a little rain stop me. This is the most important Spring Game I'll have ever been alive for.

Anyway, See a lot of you guys soon.. WE ARE!

  • I'm a little at lost for words to describe my first experience at PSU, but in brief, let me say this:

I couldn't have dreamt that it would be any better than what my family and myself experienced. From begining to end, everthing and everyone was top-notch.

    Seltz: Great, great job!!!!!
Mr. and Mrs. Fitz: It was a great pleasure to meet you both. Your friendliness towards my family will always be remembered!!!!
To everyone else I met: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping out this rookie!!!!

I look forward to doing this again next year. Hopefully I can take up Mr. Fitz's offer on the generous offer of food and Mrs. Fitz and I can have our picture taken with Franco!

Take care everyone and hope to see you all soon.

That's it for now, gotta head into work. I got called on the way home from the game and they're calling for 8+ inches of snow tonight. Time to get the plows ready again.

  • Thank you everyone!! Myself and my sons enjoyed the hospitality. I hope to see you during the season!!

...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

  • Thank you all for coming and hope everyone had a safe trip home. Thanks to all who brought food and drinks. As said, it's great to put faces with names ,and meeting all of you. A special thanks to Seltz for coordinating the whole experience. It was Fan-tastic. I hope everyone enjoyed eating as much as I enjoyed cooking. We will have another Lions247 tailgate in the fall. Seltz will keep us posted. Also, thanks to Sean and Jeff and all of the 247Sports teams for giving us all the breaking news in Penn State sports.rockon Once again, thanks to all and see you in the fall.
