Worley impresses at camp

Daryl Worley

Worley has a few schools standing out.

Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter athlete Daryl Worley was impressive at Penn State's first camp session over the weekend.

    • If we're looking at him strictly at WR and no longer at DB, I hope he's not holding his breath for that offer.

    • Hmmm...and people wonder why this board has the reputation as being juvenile. Thanks for the intelligent contribution.

I am genuinely curious as to why some people don't rate Lemelle. He's always impressed my when I've seen hin person, and I don't see anybody better than him that is likely to committ to us...

some people are star gazers..I, also have seen him play many times and the kid dominates..PERIOD..he just has a very low key approach to this process, but personally, he's more prepared as a receiver than most if not all of the wr's on our board..don't be shocked by the reviews that come out of camp lol

    • I personally really like lemelle he is a gamer. Played really well in the state championship. I just don't know how long BOB will hold a spot for him now that fuller committed.

The heck did I do other than answer your question?

    • they are not the same type of wideouts..Lemelle would be more of a slot in BOB's offense

    • Glad to see I'm not alone regarding Lemelle. Sure he is on the smallish side but he knows how to get open, runs great routes, fearless, catches everything thrown to him, etc. Plus he's done it against about as good a competition as you can in PA.

      MDS99

    • If Lemelle comes up on the 16th and kicks ass I'm sure BOB will have a sit down and let him know they really want him, but have a limited number of spots available and things are filling up quick.

I think he was looking for specific reasons why rmj doesn't like Lemelle.

No need to get snippy, people.

size really isn't an issue to play the inside slots..Welker and Branch are far from big receivers and they fit perfect on the pro level..we get Lemelle and we get a kid that can flat ball..JUNE 16 we will know what BOB thinks..that's really all that matters

The reason why many don't want Lemelle is because of Fuller. When he was offered there were a lot of people happy about it, tbh. He also reported he was being recruited for an outside WR position, so it didn't (at that time) conflict with Switzer's recruitment. However, now with Fuller taking that role (assuming), there's less demand for a guy like Brian. People would rather see someone who may be less polished, but has higher athletic potential. Lemelle isn't overly fast, not tall, has good balance and is relatively smooth, and extremely polished for a HS kid (very good coaching an attention to detail).

Personally, if BOB still wants him, right on.

Lemelle was recruited as a slot, despite what was reported..I honestly think it was Lemelle OR Switzer..looking at both films of Fuller and Lemelle you will see completely different skill sets..alot of goal line fades and outside go routes with Fuller where as Lemelle displays pretty much the entire route tree lol...Boyd and Foster..really don't have the interest IMO...me thinks we get Fuller and Lemelle..maybe one other if space dictates

If it was Lemelle or Switzer he wouldn't have gotten an early offer as Switzer verballed to PSU in BOB's office at the JR day. Either way (as it doesn't matter now), its up to the boss man. If he wants to hold out for Boyd or (more likely because Boyd's FS potential) Foster, then he can. Comes down to his call, and spots open in this class really. How many WRs do we want.

maybe that answers the question many had as it appeared the staff had cooled on Lemelle...makes sense to me

I think we need at least 2..and that depends on how many of those 5th year guys BOB invites back..Felder, Kersey, Kuntz etc. This offense will employ various multiple receiever sets so we need good quality there..ALSO have to factor in if Golden or Williams from 2012 remain on the offensive side

I don't disagree with numbers. But it depends on how they see Lemelle really. Its BOBs call. If, as you said elsewhere, he isn't getting calls returned that could be a sign. But people here like others for obvious reasons, mainly their ceilings are higher. That's what I was initially trying to answer.
