Wright switches to Penn State

Wright was previously committed to Temple.

Amid rumors of a coaching change at Penn State, the Nittany Lions were still able to add to its Class of 2014 on Saturday by picking up a commitment from New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy offensive tackle Chasz Wright.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound prospect was previously committed to Temple.

The Nittany Lions recruited Wright out of Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton in the Class of 2013. He eventually signed with UConn before heading to Prep School.

"Ever since I was 15 years old I've always wanted to go to Penn State," Wright said on Saturday evening. "I was committed to Temple and I built a pretty good relationship with him, but once Penn State came along, with Coach Johnson telling my mom they were interested in me, I felt that this was my last opportunity. I just seized the opportunity."

Wright is rated an 87, three-star prospect by 247Sports. He is the No. 9 Prep School player nationally and the No. 3 prep offensive tackle. He carries an .8233, three-star rating by the 247Sports Composite.

He will enroll at Penn State in January.
