The Nittany Lions extended a scholarship to Hazel Green (Ala.) High two-way lineman Parker Cothren late last week and could soon have him on campus.

This is a kid I'm REALLY excited about. Watched his junior film and thought he looked solid. Watched his senior film and he's just dominant. His first step and explosiveness is really intriguing. He's got great size, comes out low and exlodes into blocker. Looks really nice in pursuit and closes really well in the last few steps. This kid is under the radar only because he added weight as a senior and just seemed to really grow into frame. He looks like a future DT as he's got some really thick legs. Definitely a great option as a 3 tech. I still hope they push for Crayton as a 1 tech. Both are high end in those roles IMO
