Michael Mauti and Gerald Hodges will remain teammates.
Three rounds after the Vikings took Hodges with the 120th overall selection in the NFL Draft, they drafted Mauti with the seventh pick of the seventh and final round, the 213th selection overall.
The 2012 co-captain was named a first-team All-American by ESPN and Phil Steele and was a Butkus award semifinalist.
Mauti finished the season with 95 tackles, three interceptions and three forced fumbles despite missing the better part of the final two games with an injury, the third ACL tear he has suffered.
The 6-foot-2, 243-pounder, the son of former Penn State wide receiver Rich Mauti, finished his Penn State career with 209 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He is the ninth Penn State linebacker to be selected in the last seven years.
