After a busy junior season, things are starting to slow down for Boyertown (Pa.) offensive lineman Chris Muller.
Muller has scholarship offers from Rutgers and Temple.
Coaches from Duke, Northwestern, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Rutgers have been through the school to speak with Muller's coach in the last month. South Carolina and LSU have also been in touch as of late.
The 6-foot-6, 287-pound junior has scholarship offers from Rutgers and Temple, but other than that there hasn't been much movement in his recruitment since the end of the season.
"Nothing is really new, just that I think Pitt has fallen on my list," he said. "With the coaching change and everything, I haven't talked to them yet. I swapped e-mails and numbers with a bunch of coaches from other schools. I think I might be on the verge of Penn State offering me."
Muller most recently visited Penn State for the Nittany Lions' loss to Michigan State in November.
"It was awesome. The crowd was just so energetic and so into it. They were just cheering for the team no matter what was happening," he said. "The food was good and I liked the whole tailgating atmosphere that they have. I like how the stadium is not in a city. It was a good all-around experience."
It was his second trip to Happy Valley in a month. His first was a trip up for the Michigan game in October.
"It was a lot different. It was a lot more organized," he said. "It was just better overall and I got a better vibe for it."
Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary has been in contact with the junior, who later said that the Nittany Lions were his top choice at this point.
"He was just telling me that me and the kid from North Penn, I think, were the top two linemen recruits that they're going for," he said. "He wants me to come up for a junior day to just see how it is. He's coming back in January and we're going to plan it out then."
Muller was an all-county selection in 2010.
