Penn State released its game notes for the upcoming clash with Indiana on Saturday (noon kick, Big Ten Network). For the first time in a long time, it contained some newsworthy notes.
Carter will not play against the Hoosiers.
Redshirt freshman tight end Kyle Carter, who is second on the team in receiving with 36 catches for 453 yards and two touchdowns, is listed as out against the Hoosiers. He left Saturday's loss to Nebraska with a hand injury.
- Carter's absence brings with it the biggest change on the depth chart, as tight end Matt Lehman is now listed as the starter at the Y/F spot. The Y/F spot has replaced the F tight end position on the depth chart. Behind Lehman is Brian Irvin and Brent Wilkerson. Garry Gilliam and Jesse James are 1-2 at the Y position.
- Running back Zach Zwinak is listed as the starting running back. He was previously noted as the dual-starter with Bill Belton. Belton is now listed as the No. 2, followed by Derek Day, Curtis Dukes and Akeel Lynch. Dukes is listed as day-to-day and was off of the official depth chart last week after a concussion.
- Just one change on the defensive side of the ball, as Jacob Fagnano is listed as the backup at both safety spots. He was previously just listed at strong safety.
- There have been no change on special teams.
