Penn State was locked in a battle with West Virginia for Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township receiver Bill Belton, but the three-star athlete from the Garden State ended the suspense on Monday evening.
"I committed to Penn State about a half-hour ago," Belton told Lions247.com. "The main thing was coach (Mike) McQueary. He's a great guy and he's a guy that I wouldn't mind playing for."
Belton committed to McQueary during an in-home visit Monday evening, days before he was to visit West Virginia.
"He was here for a home visit and basically sat down and talked with us and hit it off with my parents," he said. "It was something that I felt good about and my parents felt good about, so I just went ahead and did it."
