The Big Ten Network honored several Nittany Lions as well as Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien with their annual awards on Monday.
O'Brien was named the conference's coach of the year by BTN.com after guiding Penn State to eight wins in its last 10 games and an 8-4 record overall.
Defensive end Deion Barnes, who led the team with six sacks this season, was named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Year by the network.
Wide receiver Allen Robinson, center Matt Stankiewitch, defensive tackle Jordan Hill and linebacker Michael Mauti earned spots on the BTN's All-Big Ten teams, selected by analysts Tom Dienhart and Brent Yarina.
The all-Big Ten teams, as chosen by conference coaches and media, will be announced at 7 p.m. Monday.
